Like countless others, I am deeply concerned with the devastating changes happening in our climate and of the rampant over consumption of the Earth's resources. My mission is to help bring awareness to these issues through four separate works that are displayed under the collective title "ANTHROPOCENE". The works "Melt", "Vanishing Point", "The Energy it Takes" and "Critical Change" each draw attention to the topics that include the melting of the Earth's polar ice caps, tipping or unhinging the balance of nature, the severe ellimination of natural habitats and the amount of energy use our society takes for granted.
While visually appealing, the show is designed to create an underlying sense of tension that encourages the viewer to begin their own dialogue with regards to the roles they play within the vitally important depicted subjects.
